Consulting Services
Consulting services incorporate Psychoeducation, Accountability Partnership, and Motivational Coaching. I help families unpack what is interfering with their adult child’s next steps, and connect families to strategies and resources.
Coaching vs. Therapy
I utilize methodology honed from years of clinical practice. However, my work is not meant to be a replacement for therapy. If therapy is the advisable intervention, I will help your family find mental health specialists in their geographical area.

Anxious to Launch work is a very niche field. Few mental health or even medical professionals have sufficient training in, or understanding of, this phenomenon. When families are stuck due to anxious avoidance, and especially when an adult child refuses to participate in sessions, regular therapeutic interventions may not work. Talk therapy may cause your family to focus on emotions rather than solutions, and in certain cases, can reinforce entrenched patterns. As your Anxious to Launch consultant, I will help you access the practical strategies and resources that will make a difference.

If your adult child is willing to engage in it: Hands down, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) is the best treatment for avoidance patterns stemming from anxiety, OCD, or specific phobia (like agoraphobia). ERP can be augmented with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and I-CBT (Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Furthermore, parental and loved one reduction of accommodations helps along the process substantially.
